Planting Seeds for the Hungry

On Tuesday, April 19, 2011, Uni Care Project members joined Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County in planting seeds at the Incredible Edible Park.

In Orange County, 1 in 6 residents are at risk of hunger.  More than a third of those at-risk of hunger in Orange County are children.

Children account for 35%
of the 615,000 individuals in Orange County that have to worry about going to bed hungry.
